Hard Rock (
Hard Rock is, as its name suggests, a type of loud and aggressive rock music. It is one of the most popular internet radio music genres, and there are several hundred Hard Rock online radio stations on Radio Tuna. Characterised by the use of distorted electric guitars, bass, drums and sometimes keyboards, Hard Rock grew out of 1960s precursors such as Garage Rock, Blue Rock and Psychedelic Rock. The 70s saw a rapid growth in the popularity of Hard Rock music, with bands such as Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and AC/DC, eventually peaking in the 80s with bands such as Def Leppard and Guns N' Roses.
